ABOUT ME

I am an IT enthusiast mainly interested in web and software design and development, network design and administration and database technologies. Besides IT I am also interested in business, marketing and making short films.

I have more or less experience with the following technologies, programming languages and software: XHTML + CSS + JS, PHP + MySQL, Symfony, Ruby on Rails, C#, VB6, Windows XP, 2003, 2008 and Windows 7, Apache and some networking stuff (HTTP, FTP, DNS, DHCP, etc).

I live in Hungary, a country with a still developing web culture, where — unfortunately — price is more important than quality. Newcomers to webdesign tend to think that with some limited HTML, CSS and PHP skills they can call themselves web designers, resulting in countless unusable and badly-designed websites out there.

I am determined not to be like them. For years I've been reading blogs of webdesign, usability, marketing, etc. experts I look up to. Yet the more I know the more I realize how much I still have to learn. I think the worst thing you can believe is that you're actually good at something; because if you do, you no longer have the motivation to learn more.

So far I only had one client project, but I'm actively looking for opportunities to work on other challenging stuff as well.
